I recently tried out OPI’s Mrs. O’Leary BBQ, and I am blown away by how beautiful this polish looks on my nails. You may have seen this hue on many trendy nail salon clients, but I must say that nothing beats the impeccable quality of OPI’s polishes.
Product review
Mrs. O’Leary BBQ is a classic, vampy red. The color depth is incredible – it’s neither too bright nor too dark, but rather somewhere in the middle. As for the opacity, this polish is highly pigmented and builds up well without any signs of streakiness. The wear time is also quite remarkable – I managed to get a solid week of wear time with no top coat before chipping started to become an issue.
Application-wise, Mrs. O’Leary BBQ is easy to work with. The formula is creamy and free of any lumps or chunks. The brush is well-shaped, which makes for a smooth and streak-free finish. Overall, the polish has a pleasant consistency – it’s neither too gloopy nor too thin, making it perfect for an even, effortless application.

Speaking of effortlessness, removal is also fairly straightforward. Unlike some darker polishes, this one doesn’t require any extra scrubbing or intense soaking – it comes off with ease.
The only downside to this gem is that OPI recently discontinued it. However, many other brands have since come out with similar shades, so I’d highly recommend checking those out if you’re in need of a new red.
All in all, Mrs. O’Leary BBQ is an outstanding polish. The ravishing hue, impeccable quality, and easy application make it a winner, and I highly recommend it (if you’re able to find it).
